
At St. Ruth Children’ Research Hospital, our Research Center will serve as the backbone of
our mission to discover, innovate, and implement groundbreaking treatments for childhood
diseases.
The center will be dedicated to:
�� Pediatric Cancer Research – Advancing treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, and other
childhood cancers through genomic studies, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.
�� Sickle Cell Disease Innovation – Developing gene-editing techniques, stem cell therapies,
and advanced drug treatments to improve survival and quality of life.
�� Genetic & Rare Disease Studies – Investigating genetic disorders, metabolic conditions,
and congenital anomalies for early diagnosis and treatment strategies.
�� Drug Development & Clinical Trials – Conducting cutting-edge clinical trials to test new
medications and therapies tailored to pediatric patients.
�� Global Health Collaborations – Partnering with leading research institutions and
universities worldwide to drive medical innovation.
�� Medical Education & Training – Providing research fellowships, training programs, and
hands-on experience to empower the next generation of healthcare professionals in Nigeria.
Our research center will house state-of-the-art laboratories, biobanks, and data analytics
facilities to support innovative discoveries that will transform pediatric healthcare across
Africa.
